Resolved Question:

I have a Trane XE80 furnace and replaced the gas valve. The factory settings on the
valve are 3.5"W.C.(Natural gas, full flow). Do I need to readjust the settings or is this
factory setting okay with my furnace.

Hi, Tom here.

3.5 is correct for natural gas for your furnace provided you are not at high altitude which may require a little adjustment. If you have LP it requires higher pressure and needs a conversion kit. Most of the time they are fine out of the box without much tweaking.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

Thanks. Tom
