Hi, my heat isn't working. How do I check to see if the furnace pilot light is on? or reset it?
HiCustomerbr />
If your furnace is relatively new I need to know where in the sequence it fails. Turn off the pwoer to the furnace wait a couple minutes then turn it back on and note where it fails

A typical furnace has the following sequence of operation
Thermostat calls for heat
Draft induction fan starts
Pressure switch proves draft
Pilot ignitor arcs
Pilot ignites flame sensor proves pilot flame
Or with a hot surface ignitor; ignitor glows
Gas valve opens burner ignites
Flame sensor proves burner ignition
Blower comes on
