My gelding has a white gooey discharge all over his penis. We just had him cleaned by veternarian, n she notice that is was like that before she cleaned him, but since he was done, he drips that stuff on his legs. He never drops the head of his penis to pee, it always is inside, n the vet thought that might b why his is a mess like that. Is it normal. We have 3 other geldings that drop to pee, no problems with them. What can I do to help n keep it clean?

Dr M :

does he pee normal volumes at the time or mostly dribles?

Customer:

His stream is normal

Dr M :

when your vet cleans his sheath and penis, is there any stricturing of the sheath that prevents/ impedes the penis from dropping? any ulcerations at all?

Customer:

He will drop, n she thought when he did, there were what looked like warts, but not ulcerated. She took pictures n sent them to a vet hospital in Chino california, n they were not concerned. Hes has never had this puss like this, before he was cleaned, its just been since she did that, that we have noticed this stuff, n its on his legs. But like I had mentioned, he will not drop to pee, so I'm wondering if he has an infection from the urine :/

Dr M :

No, the warts are likely little squamous cell carcinomas.

Dr M :

She needs to take a biopsy
