What does it mean when I try to put it In drive and it don't want to go or move .
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
I just replaced CV driver side shaft

Usually this means you didn't get the shaft all the way into the transmission. So the splines aren't making the connection. Go under the car and check and see if the one you didn't replace is in further then the one you did. My guess is you just didn't get it in past the snap ring. Sometimes they take a good wallup to get in there all the way.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.

How do I know when it's all the way in?

If you look at the end of the axle that's going into the transmission, it's got a lip on the cv joint, it can't go in past that. But the seal in the transmission should be snug around the axle.

Plus, like I said, use the other side as a guide, it won't hurt.

Finally, if you can pull the axle out by hand, it's not in all the way.

Your answers were clear and the diagrams were perfect. Dealer wanted $87 for an hour of labor and even I did it in 15 minutes.

HONDA PLATINUM was great. I really appreciate his help. I was ready to trade my new Honda until he told me to wait until I got 3,000 miles on it and my gas mileage would get much better.

I took the Power Steering O-Ring service bulletin linked from JustAnswer to my Acura dealer, and not only did they no-charge the o-ring, they also replaced the power steering pump at no cost.
