Have Honda Questions? Ask a Honda Repair Expert.
Hi, I'm Ron and I will be helping you today.Stand by for a moment while I prepare your answer.
The battery can be fully charged but still be bad. You need to do a load test and a specific gravity test on it. It sounds like a bad/dead cell. You can also check the cables at both ends for tightness and corrosion.
Please understand that I don't know your skill level or tools youhave to assist us. Also understand that I can't see, smell, hear, ortouch the vehicle either, so your patience is appreciated. JA is agreat Q/A site, but it does not replace a repair shop. So pleasedon’t shoot the messenger if I have to deliver bad news:)If you are satisfied with my answer, I would greatly appreciate a 5star rating now and I will still assist you after you have rated metoo if another question pops up. I don’t get credit for helping youuntil you rate me.Thanks again, Ron
Did you have any more questions for me at this time?
The voltage reading is great, but does it hold with the tests I told you to do? The tests have to be done.
Thanks again and please remember to rate me 5 stars now and keepthis link in case you need me again later on.I don’t get credit for assisting you until you rate meRon
