I have a 2005 Honda Element which I bought new. I've never
I've never had any trouble with it until Jan 2021. After driving about 4 miles it suddenly lost power. it wouldn't go over a crawl and bucked until I was able to pull over. I was able to drive home and it eventually smoothed out and regained power. I called a mobile mechanic who determined it was the crankshaft sensor. He replaced it and it was fine for about 8 or 9 months. In about September it did the same thing at about the same distance away from home. i pulled into a driveway and called the same mechanic. He couldn't figure out what was wrong, but he cleared the check engine light and the car ran fine. A few months later it did it again at about the same distance and then again two days later. That was three days ago (Dec 23, 2021). The mechanic suspects the problem could be the aftermarket sensor from Napa, and/or a differnt sensor that is connected somehow. Can you help me? … read more
