Customer Question

I installed a new battery into my 2002 CRV. I used the code to unlock radio but the CD player is still locked
JA: Has the battery been recently disconnected? Have you checked the manual or the glove box for the radio code?
Customer: I used the radio code and the radio works, but not the CD
JA: Are you fixing your CR-V yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I can't figure out what to do
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

Is this the single Unit AM/FM CD in the Dash?
Were there CD's in the Unit when you disconnected the Battery?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
I have the 6 disc changer and cassette tape player, radio combo. I did not have a CD in player. I'm stumped

Thank you for the added info..........
The CD does not have any way to be "locked" when there is a Code needed for the Radio
The Code covers all components.
Many times when the Battery is replaced, it can cause a "Voltage Spike" which can affect the Radio, CD, Cassette or all components
You can try

Remove Radio
Completely disconnect for apprx 5 minutes (not fuses or battery)
Reconnect & Reinstall Radio
Wait apprx 30 seconds for the Unit to initialize
Press the Eject Button of the CD & release
Turn Key ON & try Unit
This is only a 50 /50 chance the Unit is still good
Otherwise the CD will need repaired or replaced
