I have 2008 Honda Fit that has an error code on the radio

Customer Question

I have 2008 Honda Fit that has an error code on the radio display. How do I clear it so I can use the radio?
JA: Has the battery been recently disconnected? Have you checked the manual or the glove box for the radio code?
Customer: no manual and no radio code in the glove box.
JA: Are you fixing your Fit yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: this car is a company car that i just "inherited". I tried turning the power to the radio off an on. I'm not planning on fixing this unit myself unless this is simple fix. I don't have time to take this car to a mechanic to have it fixed if it is something that I can do it myself.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: nope.

Hey how are you

1- The error code means is different then radiol locaked ,if it was locked you can use radio code but on erroe meaans the unit radio is bad

Try this

Master reset Procedure

1- Disconect Battery Cables ( Negative & Positive Cables )you can use any electrical wire as an extension if battery cables don't reach .

2- Hold cables Together for 60 secs ,then let go

3- Wait 15 minutes

4- Make sure all doors are closed

5- Reconnect battery Cables

6- Lock & unlock the vehicles using the key from driver door side (if you have a key fob with no blade key, just lock & unlock using the key fob buttons)

7- Enter the vehicle and attempt to start

Please let me know

Thank You
