Customer Question

key will start car and run, then turn off, but after turning off Green Key Maintenance light goes on and it doesn't let go of key in ignition
JA: Can you turn the steering wheel at all? And what about the key? Is it worn or damaged?
Customer: old key might be damaged, except it opens the door, turns over the engine, etc
JA: What is the model/year of your Honda?
Customer: Honda accord 2004
JA: Are you fixing your Accord yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Key does not come out of ignition with modest pressure, it seems stuck in ignition
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: What is the solution? Try brute force, or be gentle? Just need to get key out!!!

Have you tried to move the gear shift selector in and out of park then place back in park and try to remove the key at that time?
