Something is drawing about 2 amps on the ignition circuit

Customer Question

Something is drawing about 2 amps on the ignition circuit all the time and the instrument cluster is dead.
JA: Have you checked all the fuses? Do you have a wiring diagram?
Customer: I pulled ALL fuses under dash and power draw continues. Pulling the 50 amp Ignition B under hood fuse will stop the draw, but I can not find a diagram to see what else runs off of this besides various fuses under dash.
JA: What is the make/model of your car?
Customer: 2000 Honda Passport
JA: Are you fixing your Passport yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes, myself. I have an amp meter between battery terminal and cable to watch the draw. I pulled every fuses in the vehicle, and the under hood 50 amp is the one that is involved. I found one poor wiring diagram that showed most of this 50 amp circuit went to various under dash fuses, but one wire splits off to another destination that the wiring diagram did not show. That must be what's pulling the load, but it's a mystery what... and why did the instrument cluster go dead at the same time ? Some type of computer control board failure is my suspect.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: That's it.

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

The wire in the diagram you appear to be describing is a power feed to the ignition switch, and from there it goes to four other fuses.

Does the draw go away with the ignition switch unplugged?
If not, do you have any aftermarket electrical items installed?
