Customer Question

I was told I need a new motor mount for my 2005 Honda Accord. They quoted a $450 charge. Does this sound right to you? I haven't felt any vibrating.

That sounds about right for the price. You can check to see if it's torn mount by putting the car in gear while holding the brake. If the engine jumps more than a few inches then the mount is likely torn.

Do you want to attempt to replace it yourself?

Not at all.

Thanx for the info.

You can't see the engine jumping around more than a few inches? If not then it may not be a torn mount. If it does, then I'd say the mount is probably the cause.
