air mix control motor and climate control unit
Expert:  Honda-Man replied 11 months ago.

The mode control motor works the vent flap for defrost, vents, and floor settings. It's on the drivers side of the heater unit(box). I would remove it and work the levers by hand. Most likely just a bad mode motor. The air mix blends the air from the heater core and A/C evaporator depending on temp setting.

Thanks,

~Cliff

Do you have the part # for the air mode control motor?
Expert:  Honda-Man replied 11 months ago.

Sure, EX, EX-L, Or LX? Auto or manual system?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Bought used with no owners manual
Title listed Vin# ***** 2004, Honda, (no model description given) Body style Sta-Wagon
No marking on van for ex, ex-l, or lx
Heater/Defroster has Auto setting and manual settings, so I hope this information helps.

Sounds good.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
When I bring up Part# ***** is for the "air mix control motor" not the "mode control motor"...
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Sorry you had it right. Just too many pieces of paper in front of me.
Expert:  Honda-Man replied 11 months ago.

No Problem, thanks again.
