had what I think was water in gas put in heet and now no spark
JA: Has the vehicle turned into a gas hog? And how does it start -- same as usual?
Customer: just did tune up plugs wires rotor cap usually fires right away when I was going down freeway was starting to chug ocassionly then got worse and died would start for few seconds now no spark
JA: What is the make/model/year of your car?
Customer: 1991 honda civic dx
JA: Are you fixing your Civic yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes i applied heet the isopropyl alcohol and then put screwdriver in plug wire and tried to get spark no spark
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

I am sorry that you have not been helped yet. I just came online and saw your question.

Putting in heet will not cause no spark condition. The chugging was likely due to the gradual loss of spark. On these older Hondas it is usually due to a failure of the ignitor and coil.

If you have a voltmeter for testing, I can walk you thru the testing. I will just need to vin number to pull up the testing for the ignitor and coil
