Customer Question

It will turn over but won't start
JA: Does the engine turn over? How old is the battery?
Customer: It turns over fine. Acts like it is out of gas but it is not. It has fuel to the engine, spark and compression.
JA: What is the model/year of your Honda?
Customer: 2008 CRV 2WD
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have it at an auto garage that is a client of mine. they can't seem to find the problem. they ruled out the fuel pump. they checked compression and it has spark

Hi Im David. Sorry you are having issues. you said you had it to another garage and compression, fuel and spark are ok? what were the compression readings on each cylinder? what was the fuel pressure at the rail? did all of the plugs have spark? if you dont know this information then i suggest you get ahold of them and ask. it is very important to know these specifics

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If it truly has spark, fuel pressure, injector pulse and proper compression then that doesn't leave many possibilities. I question whether this is really the case. Fuel contamination or an exhaust restriction would be a couple possible causes.

Did the problem happen not long after getting fuel?
Did it start to lack power gradually until it wouldn't run any more?
