Customer Question

Hi. I have a 2007 hybrid civic with a p2649 code. I replaced the variable timing solenoid, but the code won't clear. Any suggestions?
JA: Have you scanned the code? Have you tried to reset it?
Customer: Yes. I have a scanner, tried to reset, but it comes right back
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Hoping to fix myself, replaced the solenoid, don't know what else to try
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Not that I know of. It has 172k miles, has been my daily driver for over to years. Oil life is at about 80%.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Honda Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

This might seem like a crazy question, but did you get a solenoid from honda? or from an Autozone or place like that?

Got it from autozone. The answer was staring me in the face though. A rat had cut a wire. Fixed the problem. Thanks
