I have a 2005 Honda civic ex, I am having first time issue

Customer Question

Hello, I have a 2005 Honda civic ex, I am having first time issue that started today, my vehicle exhibits a whining noise from the engine compartment the issue has only been noticed in drive and neutral on acceleration(not decel). The vehicle has 109k, the timing belt, waterpump, tensioner, and serpentine belt were replaced at 90k. Any ideas what it could be?

Also, the noise was present for around 15-20min, on an engine that was at operating temperature. It went away just a little while ago and I drove another 8-10miles and now I have parked and it is not present any longer

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Would you like me to take my DMM in case you want an available voltage reading or voltage drop?
Expert:  MASTER TECH replied 1 year ago.

you can yes just to see what the battery voltage is on while the engine is running.

Expert:  MASTER TECH replied 1 year ago.

a few things come to mind

a alternator bearing or a power steering pump noise or something else in the system

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Okay. I am opening the hood, the noise was no longer there when I parked around 10min ago. But if it makes the noise I will record it
Expert:  MASTER TECH replied 1 year ago.

ok also if you can try to isolate the noise like the drive belt area or the transmission side ?

can you tell me if the noise is affected by the rpm or load on the motor ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
When the problem was happening, the noise became more apparent when rpm was raised
Expert:  MASTER TECH replied 1 year ago.

ok this is good info.

once you can get a sample audio of it then im pretty sure I can pin point it

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Drive belt area. Currently have the headlights on, a/c on and battery available voltage is between 12.5-12.91 using fluke meter min/max feature
Expert:  MASTER TECH replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  MASTER TECH replied 1 year ago.

is the noise present now or silent

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The noise isnt happening right now. It has gone away but the engine just seems a bit sluggish as well, it is a bit over due for an oil change but thats about it
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ill record what I am getting but the idle sounds a bit choppy
Expert:  MASTER TECH replied 1 year ago.

I do have a YouTube account. Someone mentioned that I should put some sort of lucas additive when I do my oil change this week. Because it could be some sort of bearing?
Expert:  MASTER TECH replied 1 year ago.
