Welcome to Just-Answer. My name is ***** ***** online handle is Honda-Man. I have over 31 years experience repairing Honda and Acura vehicles. I would be happy to assist you with your Honda or Acura question!

Code 14? That's for a communication error between the engine control unit and auto trans control unit. The VSS code is 4. If the speedo is inop it's code 4 and possibly code 10? 10 is a disconnected engine coolant temp sensor(ECT) or failure of the ECT.

By far the most common cause of your problem is a bad vehicle speed sensor. It's located on the transmission housing close to the firewall it has a wiring connector attached to it. Sorry for the poor quality picture.

Your satisfaction and a positive rating is my goal! Please help me by leaving a rating using the stars at the top of this page or accept my answer so I may be credited by JustAnswer.
