My car is making a Thumping noise with tire rotation going

Customer Question

My car is making a Thumping noise with tire rotation going forward but not in reverse. It's coming from the front and possible the front right wheel wheel.
The sound is more noticeable when turning circles to the left than the right.
The noise Doesn't stop when braking.
No braking issues, loose wheel, or pulling. I'm concerned about a bad wheel bearing but could it still be that if it doesn't make the sound backing up? The car drives fine.

good evening my name is ***** ***** I will assist

it sounds like the outer cv joint in the front axle. inspect the axle for a bad boot or play in the joint

I read that the noise should be worse in reverse if it's the CV joint? Especially on accelation or deceleralion in reverse. There is no noise in reverse. Is that not always the case?
Expert:  Roy replied 1 year ago.

it may not make noise in reverse because the stress has changed from one direction to another.
