Cam Thanks response to my sons Honda Civic Automatic

Customer Question

Hi Cam Thanks for your response to my sons Honda Civic Automatic problem. How difficult is to find a supplier new/reman or rebuild auto box for a Honda Civic built circa 1986?

you should still be able to find one.

even though it is an older model, IT was a common model and they were good transmissions.

If a used one is not available, rebuild kits are always available. this will require your transmission speciatly shop to hunt one down though.

for used, i have always used japan autoparts. these engines and transmissions are straight from japan.

here is the link:

hopfully they can help you,

if not, i wouldnt worry as a rebuilt kit should be available

let me know how it works out!

i always like to know the outcomes!

this place also ships worldwide.

there are quite a few places that will ship anywhere, with a little searching you will be able to find one.

i would also price out a tranmission tech rebuilding yours as this might be a good way to go
