Welcome to JustAnswer.

Most likely the stereo is bad and will need repaired or replaced. There is a possible solution I have found that might help. If the rear speaker wiring that's exposed under the rear shelf gets damaged the speakers will go mute. It's the wires that go from the speaker connector to the speaker itself. If the wiring to any of the speakers get shorted this may happen. I would check the back first since they can easily become damaged. If OK check the wiring to the front speakers. If they all are OK the stereo needs to be repaired or replaced.

When this originally started happening the speakers would cut out for a while, then they would come back on then cut out again it did this for sometime then eventually when I come back on again

I have already disconnected the rear speakers checking the terminals they were fine light new actually, and disconnected the front speakers one of the time no difference

That's not a good sign then. Not too likely of the speakers went out at once anyway. Sorry sounds like a bad stereo.
