Honda CRV I am trying to check my oil. I opulled out the dipstick,

I am trying to check my oil. I opulled out the dipstick, wiped it off, now I can't find the tube to stick the dipstick into. Can you help?

I think the dipstick tube might be missing - is that possible?

No it is in there you just need a flashlight to see inside the hole shown in the procedure I posted above. Have you looked down the hole?

I did find the tube, but the dipstick doesn't go down all the way - should it?

The Dipstick should go to the large hole so the handle is sticking out. Do you have a wide grommet on the handle of your Dipstick?

There should be a rubber grommet to keep the stick from rattling at the top of the stick as shown in the diagram I posted above.
