Steve :

Is this a front or rear stud?

Customer:

front

Customer:

were is my answer

Steve :

I am sorry I did not get right back to you. On the front of the CR-V there is not enough clearance to remove the old stud without pulling the hub loose. A slide hammer can be used to pull the hub part way out but may cause the front wheel bearing to go bad. The best way to do this repair is to remove the steering knuckle and with the help of a hydraylic press, remove the hub and then replace the stud. You may still want to replace the wheel bearing since the bearing does come apart when pressing the hub out.

Steve :

Most Nappa auto parts stores have the equipment to press the hub for you.
