Here are the instructions from the service manual. Looks like the bumper and inner skirt have to come off.


  • Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  • Open and support the hood with the prop rod.
  • Remove the grille and front bumper.
  • Remove the two piece pin and clips from the inner fender liner, then remove the self-tapping screws and remove the inner fender liner.
  • Detach the electrical connectors for the headlights, remove the headlight mounting bolts and the headlight assembly.
  • Protect the edges of the fender and door with masking tape as necessary.
  • Matchmark the fender to the inner fender for reassembly. Trace the outline of the fender to inner fender with a sharpened No. 2 pencil.
  • Open the front doors as necessary to access and remove the rear fender mounting bolts.
  • Remove the fender mounting bolts at the front cowl, headlight opening and along the top of the fender in the engine compartment.
  • Have an assistant help remove the fender from the vehicle.
