The car has 160,000 miles adn runs very well otherwise.
Mechanic for Honda: HondaPlatinum, A Technician replied 8 years ago
Ok were the plugs replaced along with a valve adjustment or top engine service. If not that needs to be done and will take care of the issue.

Hoped this helped .

Positive feedback and bonuses greatly appreciated.

I have to tell you, I do not place much value in the answer, I knew all that before I plunked down the money. Not much help at all.
Mechanic for Honda: HondaPlatinum, A Technician replied 8 years ago
There is no magic answer.I have worked on Honda for almost 20 years click my verified symbol. This is what needs to be done if you want to improve mpgs. The top engine service alone will bring it up at least 4 mpg. This is where a chemical is run through the vacuum line of the intake and this clears out all carbon in the engine including the egr ports. There is also an ECM update for this car for this but its usually when you have a check engine light p0135 or p1456 code or p0420 catalyst deteriation .These are the most common issues. If your not happy dont accept .I have been doing this a long time and this needs to be checked next.

Hoped this helped.

Positive feedback and bonuses greatly appreciated.

You all keep asking me to review the answer for my problem. The answer I got was inadequate. Period.
Second, As I understood it I should not have paid for it until I accepted it and was satisfied. That did not happen and I was charged without acceptance.

I value the Honda brand, I do not value this forum.

HONDA PLATINUM was great. I really appreciate his help. I was ready to trade my new Honda until he told me to wait until I got 3,000 miles on it and my gas mileage would get much better.

I took the Power Steering O-Ring service bulletin linked from JustAnswer to my Acura dealer, and not only did they no-charge the o-ring, they also replaced the power steering pump at no cost.
