I was hoping to replace the battery in my 2008 Honda Fit myself, but it looks quite different from my old Buick! Could you walk me through it?

It's still under warranty (3 year unlimited mileage), but the problem is that I bought it in the US but I'm currently in Montreal, Canada, so the dealership won't honor an international warranty.

Did you remove the battery stay and cover already?

I have not.. I see how to remove the stay, but just want to know how to proceed after that so I'm not going in blind.

Remove number 14 and 2 then loosen 10mm nuts number 7 on negative cable and flip red cover up and loosen 10 mm bolt on positive cable.Remove cables.Then remove black plastic cover.Then pull battery out.Its tight and awkward but it comes out.Install in reverse order.
