I have a 96 Honda Prelude VTEC, and I need a new MAP sensor.

Customer Question

I have a 96 Honda Prelude VTEC, and I need a new MAP sensor. But the sensor that I pulled off my Prelude is not the one that every website and person says should come off of it. I cannot find the right MAP sensor anywhere, and I've been searching for weeks. Please help!

MAP Sensor OEM Part#37830PAAS00

In that picture, that MAP sensor is the one that SHOULD fit on my car, but doesnt. The one I have is larger than that and has an open, circular area on the back, whereas that sensor has a closed back, with a small plastic rod protruding from the back. And on my car, it is located back by the throttle position sensor. Do you know what MAP sensor I'm talking about?

There is only one MAP sensor on this vehicle, and that is it. Either you are in the wrong location for the MAP sensor, or you have the wrong part.

I'm sorry, but on my car, the MAP sensor is in a different location, like I said. I am sure that it is the MAP sensor, because the MAP sensor that does not fit my car, it DOES hook up to the sensor wiring, just like the current MAP sensor does, but its just that the current one has a different backing and is larger than the one that SHOULD fit.
