How to replace a broken engine mount of Honda CRV 1999? Dealer asks $300. Is the cost normal?
Do you know which motor mount it is? There is more than one mount.

Listed as F: Motor mount broken

if it is the mount I am thinking of thier quote is just a little high depending on their labor rates.

There are only about 6 bolts that hold the mount on and if you are mechanically inclined you should be able to do it yourself.

the mount costs about $125.00

Customer: replied 7 years ago.

Thanks. Which mount will cost $125? or all the mounts in the same price range? Do you recommend going to a general mechanic instead of the Honda dealership?

Thanks for your prompt reply.

The mount on the front of the motor by the drivers side where the engine belts are is about $125.00. The other mounts can be about the same or less.

A general mechanic can handle the repair and as a rule thier labor charges are less then the dealerships.
