Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor (Top Dead Center (TDC) Sensor)
The CMP (TDC) sensor detects the position of the No.1 cylinder as a reference for sequential fuel injection to each cylinder.

  1. Remove the grommet from the upper cover, and disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) (top dead center (TDC) ) sensor connector. graphic
  2. Remove the upper cover.
  3. Remove the CMP (TDC) sensor from the cylinder head. graphic
  4. Install the CMP (TDC) sensor in reverse order of removal
