1998 honda accord 4cyl - engine will not stay running when city driving.
Hello, I can assist you with this. Can you tell me, when it stalls, are the normal dash warning lights illuminating, or, does it look like the key has been turned off?
Customer: replied 8 years ago.
veh will run fine for several hours before just quiting. veh has been tuned up (i.e. plugs, coil etc). the throttle body has been cleaned. veh still runs fine for a short time & then just quits. (yes, ign key light does flash on.) veh will start after sitting for several minutes. veh has 160K miles on it & has had all recommended maintenance.
Ok, that sounds like the electrical part of the ignition switch is bad.

all dash lights light up.
Ok,I misunderstood your reply I guess. Sorry.
So if you wiggle the key when running it will not stall?
Have you ever checked spark when the car wont start?
If the igniter is original and you have done the coil, its probably the cause in that case.
