Mirage: fuel filter..a 2007 CRV and where and how to replace it

Can a fuel filter cause poor milage on a 2007 CRV and where and how to replace it if needed ? Thanks Bryan

Yes, if the fuel filter is clogged it could cause poor fuel mileage. If the spark plugs are fouling out that could cause it. Bad fuel could cause this. A restricted air filter could cause this. Tire pressure being too low could cause it. A clogged fuel injector(s) could cause it. Heavy acceleration would cause it. Cold starts & immediately driving could cause it. Engine fluids not being changed at there regular intervals could cause it. Uphill driving or roadway with a lot of hills would cause it. A failing emissions related part could cause it, but most likely you would have a check engine light on. Here is a diagram of the fuel filter:

The fuel filter is part # XXXXX It is part of the fuel pump assembly, which is located in the fuel tank itself. If you suspect the fuel filter or pump problems. I would recommend to make an appointment with your local Honda dealer. Any other questions, please let me know. Thank you.
