Customer Question

My speedometer is not working on my 97 Civic, and I had the speed sensor replaced, as well as the wiring checked. What else could it be? I read I may need to replace transmission oil. What are my options.

Is the check engine light on?

Have you checked the fuses?

Customer: replied 8 years ago.
The light was on at about the same time that the problem began, but I assumed it was signalling an oil change was needed. My mechanic may have checked the fuses, as the latch had been removed. How should I proceed. Is the oil transmission replacement something I should do. The car has 115,000 miles on it, and I don't think the previous owner did it.

No the oil wouldnt affect it.

Is there anything else strange happening?

Customer: replied 8 years ago.
No that's it.
