We have a 2003 Honda Odyssey with 61K. TCS light and Engine light came on the other day. Now the TCS light is off, but engine light is still on. Any suggestion?
If you take this vehicle to an Autozone or Pepboys, they will tell you the number of the code that turned on the check engine light. Some engine malfunctions will cause the TCS light to illuminate as well. It may have something to do with the transmission. If that's the case, the code will be a P07xx.

Reply to ike's Post: Just took in the car this morning, and it showed a P1491 code. The explanation is "EGR valve lift insufficient detected". The clerk says that it could be a short circuit or bad connection. The weird thing is that the check engine light is not lit anymore since yesterday. What should I do now? The car does not drive any differently at all. Thanks.

If your vehicle has less than 84,000 miles, it may be ekigible for repair under warranty. Service bulletin 05-026 addresses this DTC, and gives a repair. As long as they did not clear the code, you can make an appointment at a dealer to have it checked out.

They will ask you to agree to a diagnostic fee, but once the code is found, warranty will also cover that.
