i have a 98 honda civic with engine codes p0700 and p0740 what are the cause of the codes? what type of codes are they? i just replaced the transmission a week ago.

p0700 is a sub code indicating that there is a code in the trans side of the pcm. Like the p0740.

P740 is a lockup torque converter code. If the trans is a new reman unit than double check all the connetors and make sure they are plugged in. If its a junkyard trans than its possible that you need another trans. Most of those codes arent caused by any soleniods but rather an internal problem.
