how do you put power window back on track

i can see the window wire moving when i engage the power window for driverside of honda civic, but cannot see how to put window back on track. Wife had been having problems with window working correctly. Now it does not work at all. "the motor that drives the window still works

You need to replace the window regulator and the rubber run channel to fix your problem. If you pull off the door panel and move the window by hand upward you can access the two 10mm bolts that are at the bottom of the window. remove them and the window will come out if you pull it straight up then tilt the front part in and pull the back part out. Replacing the regulator is straightforward. replacing the rubber isn't hard but it must be reinstalled correctly or it will bind the new regulator and damage it. It's best to take this job to a dealer if you aren't mechanically inclined.
