I'd be glad to help with this. Could you please check the question again? Is last constraint x1 = 3? And any other integer constraints or that x1, x2 must be non-negative etc? And are we allowed to use any other approach except using inbuilt solvers like linprog?

yes ,


x1 = 3 is the equality constraint.


and rest are inequality.


i want the programme in matlab w/o using the 'linprog'.
