This answer was rated:

The object of this assignment is to create a game which tests the player’s
reflexes. The idea of the game is very simple. The game starts with two
options for the player, represent as text: Easy or Hard.
If the player chooses Easy(by tapping the text) the screen should change
and display “Get Ready”. “Get Ready” should stay on the screen for 5
seconds(5000 milliseconds) before changing to “Tap Now!”. The player
then has to tap on the screen as fast as they can. If they tap while “Get
Ready” is still on the screen, they lose and the game will display “Game
Over”. If they tap on the screen while “Tap Now!” is displayed, they win the
game and their score will be displayed. Their score is how many
milliseconds “Tap Now!” has been on the screen for. This means that the
lower their score is, the better. When displaying the user’s score, you
should also display their best score since they started playing. When the
user taps on the screen while either “Game Over” or their score is
displayed, they should be brought back to the first screen and be able to
choose Easy or Hard again.
If the player chooses Hard, they game plays very similarly except that
instead of “Get Ready” staying on screen for 5 seconds, it stays on
screen for a random amount of time between 5 and 10 seconds. You
should keep track of a different best score for Easy and Hard also.

HI,
from your sample code, it looks like this is done in Corona/Lua?
Could you upload what you've done so far as a file/zip folder to wikisend.com? I'll have a look.
Thanks,
Ingo
