Kathy, question 1 of 6 due tomorrow. Many of you believe that the punishment has at least some merit by making productive use of the time. Some of your alternative solutions have added some interesting shape to the solution.

Let's look at the older children. What about the high schooler who habitually does not have homework turned in. We can't take recess away from them. How can we motivate these students to engage in the required work for the class? At what age do we stop mothering them and let them make the decision to pass or fail on their own?
