Ok....I had got
XL = 2pi(f)(L) = 2pi(1kHz)(477.46uH) = 3 ohm
XC = 1/2pi(f)(C) = 2pi(1kHz)(79.58uF) = 2 ohm
XP = XL*XC/XL+XC = 3ohm*(-2ohm)/3ohm+(-2ohm)= -6/1= -6 ohm =
6 ohm < -90 degrees

ZT = sqrt(XP^2 + R^2) = sqrt(-6 ohm^2 + 1 ohm^2) = 6.08 ohm
Phase angle = tan^-1(XP/R) = tan^-1(-6/1) = -80.5 degrees
ZT = 6.08ohm < -80.5 degrees

for the problem posted above......Is this still correct as is.....or should I change 2 to a ngetaive 2 like you did??

There are unique combinations of Q and QL in given options. So, if you're found Q, you found the correct answer as it didn't ask to show work.
Method I used to solve such problems was by finding transfer functions, and without approximations. That's where it got relatively complex. If I could get a look at your texts, I might find something less costly.
