2. Complete response consists of sum of transient response and steady state or forced response. Transient response depends on circuit configuration and becomes zero under steady state. We can get transient response by solving homogeneous equation of the system.
Steady state response depends on applied excitation and persists under stady state. We can get steady state response by finding particular solution of the differential equation of the system.
(a) Applying KVL across the loop, we get –VR+VL = 9 or VR = VL.

Putting initial condition i(0) =-3mA, we get K = -0.003, hence,I = -0.003 exp(-1012t) amps.
