I was thinking that is option 4. This is what I found on the web search:
I n means-ends analysis, the problem solver begins by envisioning the end, or ultimate goal, and then determines the best strategy for attaining the goal in his current situation



Albert is not establishing a goal in this case, he is just making an assumption based on familiar examples. If Albert was determined to go to college, then means-ends analysis would be a good answer.
