The competitive strategy of Nordstrom is service. They offer the customer service whether they are returning an item. Browsing or shopping for an item. The quality of the product are excellent and prices though a bit more, you never have to worry about keeping a product you do not want.

Need for more variety in shopping. Nordstrom allows you to order by phone, online, in store, catalogs, combinations of on-line/in-store.
