It's fantastic to hear that your kitty is getting such great care and I think you are very much on the right track here with remedies. Generally in homeopathy a single remedy, covering the whole symptom picture (physically and mentally) at that point, is prescribed at any one time. There are sometimes exceptions to this in very acute situations however, If he is perking up after each dose of Pulsatilla (the dosage sounds right to me), then it is a remedy worth considering staying with. Arsenicum is often thought of at the end stages of life to relieve anxiety and ease the passing. It is also a remedy more associated with the restlessness you referred to previously. As the cold has subsided, I suggest that you stop the Pulsatilla just for now and give him one dose of Arsenicum 30c and monitor his response over the next few hours. See if the restlessness calms and the weakness or vomiting lessens at all. If so, you could continue with this remedy in the way you have been giving the Pulsatilla. However is f there is any sign of deterioration in any of the above or his general state of mind, stop the remedy.

It would be worth obtaining a higher potency of Arsenicum - Arsenicum10m - to give your kitty when the end comes. This will help with any anxiety and ease potential distress. Rescue Remedy in the Bach flower essence range is also useful. You can make up a solution by putting 8 drops in some water and giving him a few drops of the solution as often as needed.
Feel free to let me know how he responds to the dose of arsenicum 30c.

Hi Keri
This is sounding more and more like an Arsenicum picture. Arsenicum wants to be propped up rather than lying flat, they are also chilly, weak and restless.
A homeopathic remedy is prescribed to cover an overall picture and all the symptoms present at a given time. This is different to conventional medicine where a variety of different drugs may be given at once to cover different symptoms.
It does sound as if Smokey could be reaching the end stage and the priority is most likely to be one of keeping him comfortable and peaceful rather than trying to address pathology.
I suggest you repeat the Arsenicum 30c - another single dose - and compare how he is now to the few hours after having the remedy. Monitor the features you describe above. I also recommend that you speak to the vet about the abdominal spasming.

It is fairly likely that Smokey needs a higher potency of Arsenicum rather than a different remedy. However if that isn't available, then Tarentula Hispanica and also Carbo Vegetabilis are both complementary to Arsenicum and both cold and weak. You could try the Tarentula first as it is a little more 'twitchy' of the two. If he improves on it repeat when the improvement starts to decrease. If not, you could repeat once more or move straight on to Carbo Veg if you have it.

That sounds like a good response. The guiding principle in homeopathy is one of the minimum dose. So only repeat the remedy if and when Smokey starts to deteriorate and symptoms worsen. This could be every few minutes or every fews days - it really depends on the individual, there is no set dose.

It's very tough, I've been through it myself and do understand. The most important thing at this stage, and you will look back on this time and this will matter, is to avoid Smokey going through any unnecessary suffering. From your posts it seems like he's done really well up till now but, as we suspected, he has entered the end stage and it would be best to contact your vet at this point about the best next step.
