Hello and welcome, I would like to help you by answering your question. There are a few homeopathic remedies that may help speed up the healing of your split nail.

Was the split caused by an injury? Do you have any feeling that you want to put cold things on it to ease the discomfort?
Customer:
Yes, cold would feel good. I feel it was from a bad manicure. She didn't tell me she was using gel polish and told me only after I asked her why it stayed on so long. She said she was trying something new. I removed it with regular polish remover at home. Then had another manicure with regular nail polish which didn't last as long, of course. But since then, 2 nails turned white in the center and split The thumb nail seems to be the one that is infected.

The first two remedies to think of for this situation are Ledum Palustre and Silicea Terra. As Ledum prefers cold things to ease discomfort, I recommend you start with that. Take Ledum 30c - one pill - two or three times daily for three days. If it seems symptoms are improving, continue for up to another four days. If there is no change at all after the first three days, switch to Silica 30c and take in the same way. A third option to consider if there is no response from the first two remedies would be Squilla Hispanica 30c.

Here is some general information about taking homeopathic remedies. To take a dose, simply tip one pill straight from the bottle into the lid, or use a clean teaspoon to place under your tongue, without touching it and leave to melt. As with all homeopathic remedies, you need to avoid brushing your teeth, eating or drinking for twenty minutes either side of taking it as this can antidote the remedy. For the same reason it is best to avoid any coffee, large quantities of mint or the use of strong smelling substances such as menthol, tea-tree or eucalyptus whilst on a course of homeopathic treatment.

you could apply some calendula or hypercal cream, your local health store should have these, then cover with a band-aid.
