Hello. I seem to have...

Hello. I seem to have a chronic pain in my lower back, right side that doesn't seem to go away completely. A few weeks ago I sought guidance from a conventional doctor on Pearl.com who believes my issue is musculoskeletal related and suggested I take an
NSAID such as Aleve and use a muscle rub on it. I've tried using Tylenol, Ibuprofen and now Aleve along with Arnica Gel rub and Arnica tablets. Initially the Tylenol, Ibuprofen and Arnica combination helped relieve much of the pain but I have a hard time wanting
to ingest the two drugs everyday several times a day. I tried Aleve since they say it's a once a day pill but it doesn't do a thing. I'm presently just using Arnica gel and tabs but it doesn't bring enough relief. Would appreciate some natural solutions or
recommendations you might have.

Hi,
There are still a number of natural things you can try before going to your regular MD for treatment.
First of all, acupuncture has had some very good success in the relief of pain like yours. You could contact a practitioner in your area.
In this same vein, medical massage, done by a licensed massage therapist and chiropractic adjustments help a lot of people without the need for strong drugs or surgery.
As far as Herbs, devil's claw and white willow bark are both very good for any inflammation you may have related to your back pain.
Special exercises such as Yoga, Tai Chi and bathing in hot mineral water can help to increase your pain tolerance and promote better poster while improving lower back strength.
I suggest you give these natural remedies a try. If after a month or so you are not getting the relief you need then it may be time to give a back specialist a call....
