First remedy to take in injuries is Arnica montana. This can be obtained from a health food store. Get a 30c potency in pellet form and take 2-3 pellets (dissolved on/under the tongue) about 3x/day...it can be taken more frequently if needed for pain/swelling, but 3x/day is often adequate.
You can also get a topical cream called "Traumeel" if your health food store carries it. This can be applied to the knee 4-5x/day and will help it heal as well as help with pain.
If you find that these remedies are not helping, the third choice would be Ruta graveolens, same potency and instructions as with the arnica montana....the Ruta is more for tendon injuries. Arnica is more for general soft tissue injuries with swelling, bleeding, bruising, soreness.
