I looked at the list of herbs in this product, and although the proportion of them is proprietary, I can surmise from the herbs themselves that this product would be rather risky to take if a person had high blood pressure, or even borderline high blood pressure. In fact, even high cholesterol or any other vascular disease would be contraindicated with this product.
Just so you know, this product is NOT a Chinese formula. It has several Chinese herbs in it, but also includes herbs from various other countries. The reason this is important is because the exact proportion of the herbs in Chinese formulas have been developed over thousands of years with the purpose of counteracting any potential side effects. That is why they are safe.
This product looks like it was developed fairly recently - and I doubt the company would have sufficient experience to combine all these herbs from these various countries and know for a fact that there would not be side effects.
That said, there are many, many Chinese formulas that will help the male libido that are safe. The philosophy is different - the formulas would be taken every day and slowly and gently re-develop a natural libido - as opposed to being taken on an "as-needed" basis.
The basic formulas could be either yin tonifying or yang tonifying formulas, depending on exactly what is causing the loss of appropriate libido. A partial list would be Zuo Gui Wan, You Gui Wan, Tian Wan Bu Xin Wan, Jin Gui Shen Qi Wan, but there are many others. A Chinese herbalist or an acupuncturist who has herbal experience can help you choose the best one for you. It's a good idea to consult someone so that they can do a thorough intake interview (a discussion of your overall health) and pick the appropriate formula - if you try to choose for yourself and get it wrong it could have the opposite effect than intended.
