Hi. I bought...

Hi. I bought my Onkyo during the height of surround sound in movies and CDs. It worked fine for many years and one day it just stopped allowing to hearing movies of CDs. Do you have any idea of might have happened.

It is one of three models numbers that show on the instruction manual,

I.ve tried everything I could find and I might have hit a button that cut off the surround and nothing worked on my TX-SR 503.

Unplug the unit for about 5 minutes. Sometimes static electricity can get into the microprocessor, causing it to do funny things like stop producing sound. When you turn it back on, listen for two clicks. If you get sound, great! Let me know! If not, tell me if you hear one click or two.
