There's a couple of things that could cause this. The first steps would be a soft reboot and if this does not work, then a more invasive reset needs to be done.
1) Shut the TV, cable box and receiver off (power them down).
2) Unplug the receiver's power cord, as well as the cable box power cord.
3) Disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cable between the cable and Pioneer- making sure it's secure.
4) Plug them back in.
5) Give the cable box 5 minutes to boot up and then turn the system on.
Let me know what happens and if this does not work then we can proceed to another reset.

Okay then we need to do a full reset of the receiver back to factory defaults. Are you savvy on how that's done?
