My pioneer vex 1022 r cue ear stopped playing g my iPad today. It says "please wait"

Technician's Assistant: Can you guesstimate how old your Pioneer is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?

VSX 1022. Maybe be 5 years.

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?

Just today. I have reset the unit.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?

It is a vsx 1022. Item has always played my iPod. Y dog stepped on the remote. Now when I try to play iPod/USB. It says please wait and does not connect to my device. I tried multiple iPods. I have also reset the receiver. All other functions appear to wrk perfectly. Please help.

I have also tried multiple cords. So this is not the issue either.

This is a software problem with the Pioneer receiver.

First, try updating the firmware if it hasn't been updated lately.

If that doesn't work, then you will need to try a factory reset.
