are you seeing any lights/indicators on the soundbar itself?
Was the prior cord visibly damaged in any way?

Nathan-- Sorry for the delay getting back with you...weekend madness. Anyway, no lights on the soundbar, no damage top the cord However, it may not be the correct cord that came in the box. If you could send me the correct item # for a replacement cord, I will order one from Samsung directly and go from there. Les

Forgot to get back to you last week to thank you for your help. I received the adapter and it works fine. Soundbar is ready to be connected as soon as I decide where to pui it. Thank you.
